In remembrance of all women who have served, suffered or died because of warfare, Sergeant Hannah Stacey

Just after a minutes silence conducted to remember the fallen at 11.00am, the Dakota, flanked by Spitfires soared over the coast.

More than 1,000 people stood and watched as a Dakota scattered poppies over the Battle of Britain Memorial.
